Risky Play is designed to share knowledge, evidence and research which supports the value of unstructured and risky play in early years, education, recreation, community centres and spaces. It is developed to aid parents and carers as well as individuals working within recreation, health and wellbeing, education, mental health, research, social services and those committed to healthy child development, supporting risky and/ or outdoor play. During the 90 minute session, our objectives are to: . Increase knowledge of evidence based practice and research to support outdoor play . Improve understanding of language relating to risky play (liability, duty of care, risk, responsibility and hazards) . Skill development to implement risk . Identify emerging and innovative approaches to system change . Increase knowledge and evidence base to shift towards an outdoor, risky, unstructured and nature play-based culture .
